STEP 1 Heat a large saucepan. Add garlic, onion and bacon, and fry for 2 minutes.
STEP 2 Add tomato paste, mix well and cook for 1 minute. Add stock, stir well, then add remaining ingredients.
STEP 3 Cover and cook for approximately 40 minutes.
Any type of vegetable may be added.
I used coloured pasta spirals.
